A quote from Atharva Veda says, ‘Unity can only come when there is better co-ordination and mutual understanding in the society; when there is no friction of thoughts and clash of ideologies. We should therefore follow the ideals established by the scholars and engage ourselves in virtuous deeds.’ Tagore House takes the responsibility to lead and inspire others in working towards valued goals. Tagore House children honour the intrinsic value of self, others and the world they share. Integrity aligns their actions and values. The House proud fully acts with purposeful reflection to uphold its vision and mission.
For education to be holistic and to develop Leadership among children these azadians proved that leadership comes not just from reading complex theories in voluminous books but also comes from the ability to take initiatives.
The students of Tagorehouse set the focused and joyful tone of the year by presenting manifold assemblies on multifarious topics that edifices students to confront the real life issues.
AZAD HOUSE
“Within the vast expanse of the cosmos,
You are tiny, warm and pulsing spark,
Your birth was a brief awakening,
Let the breath of sweet gratitude fill you,
As the light of each new day begins.
For the moment itself, is a miracle
And to live, it is a privilege, my friend.”
Each AZAD house student is trained to follow this mantra which not only inspires them to connect with the deepest values and goals of the house, but also instills them with a sense of being an achiever. As the house name suggests, AZAD, the vision of the house mentors is to awaken and revive the interests and abilities of the students. It aims at the recognition and realization of the life teachings that facilitate mental and spiritual development.
Morning assembly means a conventional gathering that helps build a culture of communication. It is the place where scholars and mentors come together to start the day with fresh thoughts and inspiration. Probably it is the first platform that is provided to young minds boosting their confidence towards public speaking and imbibing a feeling of team spirit in their nascent minds.
GANDHI HOUSE
The reason abaft christening a house named ‘GANDHI’, APS wanted to propel its students from apathy to possibility, and transform the way they perceive their own capabilities. Gandhi House, awakens the students to new possibilities by allowing them to transcend their ordinary experiences and limitations. The house is a compilation of a complete Program for Result Enhancement, Resource Nurturing and Assessment. Apart from the number of other invigorating activities, morning assemblies have always remained an integral and indispensable part of the soul of APS. It plays a significant role to provide an unceasing exposure to the students to attain complete knowledge for holistic development. It also enables our students to harness their abilities and to think beyond the edge. Hence, every year Gandhi House comes up with many knowledge provoking ideas.
NEHRU HOUSE
Nehru House, through the splendid launching rack of Morning Assemblies, served as an agent of change, enkindling and developing the social qualities latent in every child. The vision of Nehru House is to exude pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition, conviction and determination. As the colour of Nehru House embodies the Blue colour, which signifies serenity, stability, inspiration, or wisdom. Likewise, the students of Nehru House throughout the year present multifarious theme-based assemblies to foster in the students a sense of collective responsibility towards society and solidarity. The students of Nehru House vividly sketch the idea of “dreaming big things with a heart as large as the world. Placing your heart on things greater than this world can offer.” The Morning Assemblies furnish as a remarkable platform to unfold the true potential of every student honing and refining their intrinsic talents.
